Johnny sighed sadly as he watched the sun come up over a tall building. It had been three days since Jimmy had kissed him, Johnny figured that it was only a onetime thing and that Jimmy had no interest of coming back. He wasn't mad about it, just a little disappointed. The days following had been rough as usual, the customers were sex addicts. As usual. But, now, he had a face he could picture on the jerk's shoulders.
The little time he had with Jimmy would always be close to his heart, and as long as he thought about the kiss, he could smile and feel a little warmer inside.

He wasn't permitted to ever leave the building unless it was an emergency, but he was longing to see the outside world without glass in between.
Older employees were allowed out every other day, and today was a shopping day for them. Johnny aimed to sneak in the crowd and blend in until they were away from the building. Then, he would go his separate way and be back before the head mistress even thought about her neglected, abused nephew.
He pulled his white hoodie on and buckled his jeans, peeking out of his door, waiting with an anxious tapping foot for the older group to walk by his door. He heard their voices and readied himself, and as soon as they passed, he snuck out and pulled the hood over his head.
He mixed with the crowd, counting every step he took as soon as he left the building. He stayed alert and quiet until they made it into a huge town full of people and cars. The buildings were taller than the one he lived in, and he felt enclosed and safe behind their protective walls.
The air was a mixture of sea salt and frying foods. A sugary smell came into his nose, and he took in a deep breath and exhaled slowly. The sunlight on his face warmed his skin until he couldn't hold back a smile. Everything was new and tangible, he wanted to run around and look at everything, but he knew that he was on a time limit.
The crowd was long gone by now, but he took note of the streets so that he could find his own way back; then he started forward, a stride in his step.
He had always wanted to visit a thrift store, the things in the store held a lot more value and meaning than something bought out of a fancy store he thought. So, he got directions and headed that way.
He was rounding a watermelon stand when he stopped dead in his tracks. His lungs closed off, and the people around him seemed like a blur. The tall man wore a tank top to show off his colorful arms full of tattoos. The black jeans fit the man so perfectly that Johnny could see the leg muscles bulging slightly. Today, Jimmy's eyes were a pretty light blue.
Johnny stared at Jimmy, feeling rooted to the spot. Oh my god...It's him.
The man kept walking, seeming to be weighing out something in his mind. It was clear that he didn't get too much free time in his daily life and he was going to take advantage of this time where he was strolling.
He took in the concentrated look upon Jimmy's face and closed his eyes when Jimmy passed. The mouthwatering scent of Axe followed Jimmy, and Johnny breathed it in. With his heart hammering in his ears, Johnny took wobbly steps forward once again. He wasn't sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing that Jimmy hadn't seen him, but that didn't keep the smile from growing larger from the heavenly sight.
Little did he know that Jimmy had done a double take and was now slowly following him.
The thrift store was only a few blocks, and Johnny found delight in the warm, cinnamon scent. He wiped his shoes on the rug and felt giddy with excitement. What should I look at first? It's all so...Amazing! There were shelves of abandoned dolls and teddy bears, books, movies, CDs. He wanted to reach out and grab it all, but he knew he wouldn't be able to afford all of it. So, he went to the books and thumbed through a few that had interesting titles. Most of the covers were worn, but he didn't mind. The prices were low, and he reached down to touch the few bills he had pocketed from his money jar. He would have enough for a few things he was sure.
It wasn't long before Johnny felt a small, gentle tap on his shoulder followed by an, "Excuse me..."
Fear trickled into his system. He thought maybe it was the store manager who thought he was stealing something. Or maybe it was one of the head mistress's security guards. He had never been approached like this before, so he slowly put his hands up and turned to face the man who had talked to him. Pure terror was on his face until he saw who it was. Jimmy stood only a few inches away from him.
Johnny's face heated up from embarrassment and he looked down, dropping his arms to his sides. The hood covered the top part of his face so that Jimmy couldn't see Johnny squeeze his eyes shut. I looked so stupid. Great.
"Um...Hi..." Jimmy said sheepishly, stepping away slightly, afraid he had scared him. "Sorry for that...I just...I saw you walking down the street and I, well...followed you...here..." He was talking slowly, realizing how his words were phrased.
He tried to calm his heart down as it fluttered in his chest. "No, you didn't scare me..." Johnny swallowed and looked back up at Jimmy for a moment.
It seemed to Jimmy that Johnny still had trouble looking at him like back in the room, and his voice was still so quiet and shy. It was like he rarely spoke to people...Rarely got out of that small room.
"Oh...well...Sorry anyways," Jimmy chuckled with a shrug, stepping back a little more. "You okay? You look like you're trying to hide." He snickered teasingly.
Johnny blinked before smiling slightly. "Um...No, I'm not hiding. I just," he turned and caught sight of a little red fire truck that was made from wood. It was a toy that was probably more than forty years old. He picked it up and gazed at it in amazement. "I've just never been to this kind of store. It's amazing." He gently ran his fingers over the fading paint.
Jimmy smiled in amusement. "It's a store full of nostalgia, that's for sure!" He had a few things in his arms that he planned on buying, including a few records.
He nodded and picked up a few books, asking, "What're you getting?" He looked at Jimmy's armfuls.
"Ummm...a few old horror books, a couple of records from the 50's, annnnnd, a wooden duck." He said, smiling sheepishly as he held it up. "I'm a sucker for ducks."
Johnny suddenly giggled. He cleared his throat and looked down at the red truck in his hand. "Me too, rubber ducks are fun in the bath."
Jimmy seemed to blush for a moment from picturing Johnny bathing. He quickly turned away, pretending to be intensely interested in another old toy.
He bit his lip and looked upon Jimmy's blush, wanting to reach out and touch it, but he contained himself and gently slid past Jimmy. "...You wanna come with me to buy these things...?"
Jimmy smiled nervously nodding. "Sure..."
They went up and purchased their things, getting bags to put them in.
Johnny held his bag close to his chest, seeming content with his little bag full of stuff. The hoodie he wore hid most of his face, and his gorgeous hair, but the sunlight made his cheeks glow vibrantly.
Jimmy suddenly chuckled at the sight of Johnny, about to say something, but deciding against it. "So are you on a lunch break or something right now?"
He seemed to become distant even though he and Jimmy were walking close together. Johnny stared down at his stepping feet as he shook his head. "No..."
Jimmy frowned in confusion. "Oh..." He glanced at Johnny with concern. "...You okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." He sighed and looked back up, watching people who walked by. Jimmy's heat was like a magnet, and Johnny found himself leaning towards Jimmy a little more.
Jimmy smiled gently, putting his arm around Johnny's shoulders in a friendly way. "Good..."
The warm feeling began to bubble up slowly inside Johnny, and he smiled big behind the safety of his hood. They passed a stand selling funnel cakes, and Johnny's mouth watered as he stared at the weird looking food. "What's that?" He pointed to the plate that was being eaten off of happily.
"You've never had a funnel cake?" Jimmy asked in disbelief, already pulling out enough money to buy two of them.
"Uh-uh," Johnny stared in almost amazement at the sweet smelling cake. "What are they?" He looked up at Jimmy in question.
"It's fried...um...something, dough I think, with powdered sugar. It's orgasmic!" he exclaimed, getting a few worried looks for a moment before he was handed two cakes, handing one to Johnny before paying for them, thanking the vendor. He began eating his before grabbing napkins, walking to a table for them to sit at.
Johnny sat by Jimmy, staring at the food for a moment to see where he should eat off of first. He then took a small forkful and gasped. His face lighted up as he smiled in awe. He then took a bigger forkful, giving a small, happy noise. His taste buds were having parties all over his mouth, and he couldn't help the smile that grew even bigger over his lips.
Jimmy suddenly cooed. "You're truly adorable when you make a discovery, y'know that?"
He felt delighted and embarrassed by Jimmy's statement; the warmth grew even more inside of him. Johnny willed himself to look up at Jimmy, sugary powder lining his pink lips. "Thank you for this..."
"It's no problem, Jay..." Jimmy said before wiping Johnny's lips with a snort.
Johnny finished and set his fork down. "That was so good," he licked his fingers off quietly, feeling the wind pull his hoodie off of his head.
Jimmy gazed at the sight of Johnny's hair and then his entire face before chuckling, finishing his. "They're pretty good."
He smiled up at Jimmy, nodding once as he looked upon the soft looking face. Pulling his gaze away from Jimmy to a clock in a nearby store, Johnny sighed and stood. "I guess I should be heading back now..."
"Oh...okay...mind if I come to visit you tonight?" Jimmy asked with a small blush.
Johnny put his hood over his head and grabbed his bag, shaking his head as he fought his own blush. "I wouldn't mind..." He smiled at Jimmy, letting his eyes linger over the blue oceans looking back at him.
Jimmy smiled big, his dimples showing as he nodded slightly. "I'll be stopping by..." he said softly before waving. "See you tonight."
He waved at Jimmy and followed his directions back to the building.
Johnny peeked in and saw that the lobby was empty. With very careful steps, he snuck to the elevators and then to his room. He made it safely, and sighed happily, hugging the bag to his chest where his heart beat frantically. When he flicked his light on, he gasped at the sight in his armchair. The man with yellow teeth grinned at him.
Johnny death gripped his bag, staring with wide eyes at the man.
"Hello, Johnny. I see you've been a naughty boy and snuck out." The man stood, towering over Johnny. "I'll make you a deal. I won't tell your head mistress if you do me a favor." The man licked his lips, his eyes blazing with lust.
Johnny began to tremble, knowing that if his aunt knew he snuck out she would beat him and give him over to the 'punishers'.
The man gave a daring look. "Accept or not?"
His lips trembled as he looked down in defeat. "Accept." Before he could catch a breath, the man was ripping his clothes off and threw Johnny to the bed.
:ohnoes: That man is a keeper, eh?
